Fit & Active

I have just started eating the fit & active products from Auldi's and I have to say for the shakes they are delicious. It's not like the special K shakes (which I found had a very chalky after taste). I also have been eating the light cheese strings and the 100 calorie chocolate dipped pretzel packs. 

For a diet food line, I find it very tasty. So I will complete my week out with the shakes until Sunday and maybe even go get more to last me next month and see if there is any change. 

Alone today I have had the energy to do 4 reps of 15 with 5 lbs weight for crunches and then another 4 reps of 10 with 10 lbs weight for my final 40 crunches. Surprisingly I actually could do 100 crunches today total. And for me that is a very big deal. Usually I can't get past 20 crunches with no weights. 

I also managed to do 5 reps of 10 jump roping and about 10 minutes of jumping jacks. Not including the 4 sets of 10 with 15 lbs weight of curling as well today. I am actually very happy with myself today. And hope to keep this pace up for the rest of the week. ^_^

Over the Weekend

So this weekend was my birthday weekend so, yup you guessed it, off of my diet plan (but not that bad). I did have an amazing time in Atlantic City but I kinda wish I didn't eat so much cake. But other than the cake and the alcohol intake for the day it was a great time and I kept somewhat on my diet.

Today I did a 4 hour dancing session to make up for the weekend indulgence. Plus, I have looked into some fitness foods and things like that from Auldi's called Fit & Active. 

Tomorrow I will be trying the fit and active weight loss shakes (vanilla) and the fit and active lunch meat. I got a few things from the food line but yeah we will see how that goes. 

The shakes come in 6 in a pack, so I will be trying them for the rest of this week into the weekend. If I start feeling better and these shakes are good I will continue with them.

Pre-30 Day Plan Day 3

Last night was a very interesting night. I made Kraft man and cheese, corn and chicken (thin cut lightly seasoned in season salt). Total in my dinner calories was 350 calories. 

Usually I would be posting this the night before but last night was rough with my little one. She didn't want to go to bed and she decided that I needed to be in her room with her all night long. So that leads into today. In a ton of pain from my lower back and now I can't move today. :( Not really happy about it but it looks like today there will be no working out. :(

Hopefully tomorrow will be a much better day and I won't be in too much pain. So sorry everyone but today I am going to take a day to myself and try to get my back to feel better.

Pre-30 Day Day 2

Today had a very very late start for some odd reason I decided to go back to bed when I woke up this morning. (My daughter was curled up with me still asleep, so I think that's why lol)

So I didn't eat breakfast this morning :( But, I did do a decent lunch to make up for it.

Lunch: (Not as healthy as it should be but eh I was hungry)
  • 2 packs of ramen, 1 pack seasoning (760 calories)
  • 1 bottle of water (16.9 oz)
  • 1/2 packet of Crystal Light Peach Tea (5 calories)
Total calorie intake for lunch: 765 calories. Now that is a lot more than what I will normally eat but if I skip breakfast I will have to do bigger lunches to make up for it. 

I did get in 2 hours of dancing this morning (general) and burned 775 calories. So I basically ate what I worked off which isn't bad since I didn't eat this morning.

I do plan on doing 2 more hours of dancing but this time with the Dance Central game for the Xbox 360 Kinect. So I will be burning off another 775 calories later today. 

Oh, I almost forgot. I am using the myfitnesspal app for all my calculations for exercise burns (I use the nutritional facts on the packages for my food). You can follow my intake on myfitnesspal.com and look up my username (krystalaharding) and if you have the app friend request me. I give moral support for everyone who is on my friends list. Plus the site has a lot of people on there all going for goals. There are message boards and conversations and things like that. There are also calculators set up on there to help you see what your calorie intake should be.

Sorry I'm Late

So this evening has been hectic since 2 pm so I was not able to get on and post about my lunch or my dinner but now I have time to do so.

Lunch: (not very happy about it)
  • 1 Classic Chick N Crisp Plain (310 Calories)
  • 1 small value bk fries (240 Calories)
  • 1 bottle of water (16.9 oz)
Total for lunch was 550 calories. I did not get the chance to do my afternoon exercises so I will try to double tomorrows exercises.

Dinner: (Small and simple)
  •  1 Grilled Chicken Sandwich plain (120 calories)
  • 1 bottle of water (16.9 oz)
  • 1/2 pack of Crystal Light energy packet (5 calories)
Total for dinner was 125 calories. In total for today I at 1170 calories worth of food (less than what I should be eating) and my total exercise was 387 calories burned. I still need to drink one more bottle of water today and I then I would be drinking the 8 cups of water needed.

So today had a few unexpected bumps but, I made it through the day and had a great day. Just wishing I could've gotten more exercising in. Tomorrow is a new day <3

And a little of topic but, I am a huge wrestling fan and tonight is the RAW 1000 episode and at this moment I am having problems breathing from all the excitement of all the legends coming back into the ring at once <3

Like I said very happy sorry for being off topic. Going back to being absorbed in RAW tonight. Good night everyone!

Pre-30 Day Plan Day 1

YAY!! My first vlog is now up on my youtube channel (Klairesmomma) and is ready for viewing. It is literally short and simple and since it is my first talking vlog it's a little jumbled but I will be working on that. So feel free to leave comments and concerns and things like that. I will be back after lunch to post the calorie intake for lunch =)

After lunch and my next blog I will probably be cleaning house (which also burns calories!) And when I am done I might do the dance central. Depends on my pain level. =)

Starting Pre 30 Day

Starting today I will be keeping track of my pre-30 day plan. This will start with my morning routine.

Morning Routine:
  • 1 bottle of water 16.9 oz
  • 1/2 pack of Crystal Light Energy (5 calories)
  • 1 hour dance routine (burn 387 calories)
  • 1 mini bagel (L'oven Fresh 110 calories)
  • .75 tblspoon cream cheese (Happy Farms 70 calories)
Total for morning: 185 calories eaten, 387 calories burned. 202 calories left over from the workout.


Keep in mind to NEVER eat back the calories you burn. I will be working on a calorie intake of 1200-1550.

I will be posting all day long about what I eat and what I do. It might take me some time to get started on the vlog today having technical difficulty with my webcam so I will be using my iPhone to record the videos today.

Highly Annoyed

Why is it when people (your significant other to be exact) know that your the one who gets up between 2 and 4 am when you child wakes every morning, find it necessary to call your name 3-5 times while they are laying next to you then after not responding they ask you if you are awake?

Nine times out of ten you had just fallen asleep and you would like to keep it that way. But some people apparently just don't get it. If you barely sleep as is, then get up with a kid every night (since your spouse or significant other can't or won't) why do they think that waking you up to watch a show that you are recording and will be on demand the very next day is necessary?! 

It's not and a good amount of the time the person you are waking up after they just pass out are probably ticking time bombs waiting to explode! I for one do NOT like being woken up after I just passed out and knowing the fact that once I am woken up I can not fall back asleep for several hours. But my wonderful boyfriend thinks I don't want to miss my show and then gets pissed off at me for yelling at him and telling him that is the reason I record my show is so I can sleep. 

Then once the show is over he puts on his favorite movie (which is played out for me) and rolls over and passes out.... I want to just wake him up by doing the same thing he did to me but, I don't want that argument. It's not necessary for the two of us to be in bad moods the next day. 

Sorry for the rant but I am sure there are many people out there that can relate to this matter. Mothers included. I also love the kicking me in the butt at 2 am because our daughter has just woken up and tells me to get up and take care of her as if she can't put herself back to sleep on her own. 

Gotta love those times. Tomorrow I will be starting up the pre 30 day plan as promised and I will start will the vlog's but please do not mind how crappy I will probably look due to the lack of sleep that I will be receiving tonight.

Other Mothers

I have noticed ever since I had my daughter that there are other mothers out there who love to be the first to tell you what you are doing wrong. And to be honest it pisses me off to no end. Who does the kid belong to? You right? Yes.

Other mothers who tell you what you are doing is wrong, or are the first to correct your methods, need to back off! It's your child, being it if it is your first child or your second or so on.

You have the power and the right to do what you want and what you feel is right for your child. Always remember what people say to you, be it positive or negative, is their opinions. And you can either take their opinions as advice or you can tell them off. 

Now if it is your family, well then you have to kind of sit there and take it. But, I am not saying that you have to take what their saying and run home and do what they suggested. And if it is your first child, be prepared for the unwanted comments on how you are raising your child. 

You will always get people telling you what you are doing is wrong but, there will always be some positives hidden behind those negatives. And if you can find the positives you'll be fine.

You just have to do the following:

  • Listen to what they have to say
  • smile and tell them, "Thank you for your opinion," you can go from there however you wish (you can always tell 'em off after you thank them =] )
  • Look at what they are saying towards your style of parenting. 
  • Either change with their advice or just shrug it off
You have to do what you find best for yourself and not what everyone else finds best for you. It's your child, YOU GAVE BIRTH TO HIM/HER! And if people get on your nerves you can always say, "Look, where I appreciate your opinion, this is my child, I gave birth to him/her and I am raising her how I chose to. But thank you anyways." 

Some people know when to back off when you are upset and will drop it but others need to be told to back off and drop the subject or else they will just keep upsetting you. Avoid these talks around your children. They do not need the negativity that it can spawn.

So to recap: It's your child, your life. Let others' opinions just roll off your shoulders and don't let it get to you. 

Quick Breakfast

Today we decided that things needed to be quick and easy and simple. We were too tired to really go all out with a big Sunday breakfast. So we decided to do 2 egg omelet's with cheese in the middle and toasted mini bagel's with low fat cream cheese ((mainly since I am on a diet)). It's quick, simple and easy to make. It takes about 10 minutes in total if you are making this for about 3 people.


Something else as a good quick breakfast would be oatmeal with fresh fruit and or cereal with fresh fruit. Do what you can for the time you have.

Pre 30 Day Plan

Tomorrow is the BIG day for my pre 30 day planning. I plan to set up my planning via vlog on youtube tomorrow afternoon. I will be trying to mark my day with videos all day long but I can not promise that I can do the entire day (I do have a 20 month old who demands a lot of attention from me) So I have the idea of using play time (and teaching time) with her and incorporate it with my routine for my 30 day plan. My videos will mark the routines through the day but, I will be putting up the entire day here in my blog for everyone to see. 

But on a different note, my daughter decided to "steal" pez right from her daddy every time he tried to eat one. It was so cute because she only did it to him. I was allowed to have some and every time she gave me one she gave me a kiss with it. <3 My daughter is my entire world. We are planning on taking her to the park later on today if the weather stays this nice.

Back Pains

The worst feeling in the world is being in massive amounts of pain and not being able to play with your child. Today Klaire decided that it was time for me to play with her. So since I couldn't move around to much, I decided to lay down on the floor and roll the ball with her. She decided that it would be fun to jump on my back :( Not fun. Then after that I tried not to scream out in pain but a tear escaped my eye and she got off me and gave me a kiss and a big hug <3

She knew she hurt me and she was trying to tell me she was sorry. It was so cute. She got up on her bed and sat there and I put my head on my arms on her bed and she pushed me away and started playing with her toys and didn't mind me leaving the room. I love it when my child can keep herself occupied.

On a lighter note, we went to see Batman The Dark Knight Rises. Very good for the final movie in the series. Now I am just looking forward to the Justice League movie whenever they decide to start making it. 

I am still going to be on track with my pre 30 day plan even if I am in massive pain. So when I start up my videos, they will be my planning and describing how I came to my conclusions of things that would work.

So if I don't get on for the rest of the weekend, have a good weekend everyone and stay safe =)

Painful Day

Today has been the most painful day I have experienced in months. My siatic nerve damage is kicking me in the butt right now. But on a lighter note, my mom drove up to see me today and Klaire was well behaved the entire visit. =)
Sorry for not posting the vlog up yesterday I just really wasn't feeling all that well but, hopefully I will have it up and running tomorrow. I will be attempting to make a Cream Puff Cake sometime within the next week or so. And tomorrow depending on when I start cooking dinner and what I decide to make will depend on if I will make a vlog about it or not. 
As long as things go smoothly tomorrow I will be back on track. 
Pre-30 day will be starting up on Monday for sure so if I do not get any vlogs up this week I will have them started next week. 
Also, I have a few little fun recipes that I have found in a few of my moms cook books and I will be trying them out soon and posting my results <3

Afternoon Everyone!

So last night I ended up staying up until 3:30 am which was okay I guess but, today I am super tired and drained. So I think I will be starting Pre-30 on Monday. This way I can just go with what I normally do for the rest of this week. Pre-30 will be a 7 day plan (Not including the weekend) and it will consist of me fine tuning my exercise plan and my diet. 
I am doing my 30 day plan on a tight budget, so this isn't one of those of you have to spend so much money on foods that are highly priced. Personally I think the cost of some of the foods that these diets have you eat are just highly outrageous and that's what puts you off from doing them, especially if you are on a tight budget.
I am going to be doing all my shopping for this at Wal-Mart. I will be posting what I buy and how much I spend and what my starting budget is. 

Steps to Prep:

~ Get at least one case of water (keep 2-3 bottles in the fridge to keep cold)
~ Get some kind of flavor packet (if you want flavored water)
~ Get your favorite fruits. Look into bananas, strawberries, kiwi, mangoes, oranges or apricots, plums, blueberries (if you can have them). Get what is best for you.
~ Get an HRM and a pedometer
~ If you don't have one already invest in a scale (I will be getting on soon)
~ Plan out a walking or running route
~ Look into eating chicken and fish, even turkey over constantly indulging in red meat.
~ If you do not like salads (like myself) try to find an alternative to make a salad. Such as other assorted vegetables.

This is just a simple list to get you started on planning out. Make a list of foods you do not normally eat, foods you do not eat, foods you dislike. Then make a list of foods you would like to try, then a list of foods you eat all the time. Then check the calories on each list and try to plan out meals that will total you to at least a 1550 calorie intake. (That is what I am using, feel free to drop it to 1400 or 1200)

Ever Wonder What...

Do you ever wonder what your kids dream of? I have noticed that some nights (or during naps) I go in and check on Klaire and I notice her smiling. And when I see her smiling I wonder what she could possibly be dreaming about. I mean wouldn't you if you saw your child smiling in his/her sleep? 
I also wonder what she is thinking during the day with some of the things she does. I am just a very curious person and sometimes it gets the best of me and I find myself asking her what she is thinking and waiting for a response and usually the only response I get to that is Klaire coming running at me and giving me hugs and kisses. I love it when she does that. 

(Okay so today I seem to be writing a lot more than usual but I promise this is the last one for tonight.)

As mentioned previously, my youtube vlog is up with my very first makeup tutorial. I am still waiting for it to load (it says I have 21 minutes left of it loading) and hopefully it turns out as well as I had hoped. 

I am also thinking about starting up my pre-30 day plan tomorrow and if not tomorrow start is on Sunday. If you have a myfitnesspal.com app feel free to add me so you can keep track of the journey. My username on it is krystalaharding and I have a track blog on there as well about the plan. 

For those of you who are new to my blog (who haven't followed over from my older one) my 30 day plan is my recipes and a workout routine that I have put together with things that I like and things I need to work on. Most of my diet plan recipes come out of "Good Housekeeping's Drop 5 lbs" and what I have come up with on my own. I will put up the recipes and the calorie intake and what not when I set this up. <3

Youtube Vlog Up!!!

So as nervous as I am I have finally set up a youtube vlog and as of right now I just did a quick mommy on the go make up tutorial of what I do on a somewhat daily basis (if I have the time). And this is my very first video that I have ever made (first how to video) so I kinda ramble a bit and what not but yeah. Feel free to leave comments and advice on how to make better videos or things you would like to see me do :)

Still Playing

So at this time, I have decided that to get Klaire to talk more, I have to play more. Yup, getting down on the ground and playing with her. That and making noises (siren sounds, animal sounds, ect) if she can start mocking these sounds progress has been made! At this time I have just started this method today and I will post results (if any) next Tuesday to let everyone know how my little test is working. 

On a lighter note for mothers who are having problems losing weight, I am starting up a 30 day plan on the first of august. This consists of exercising and dieting recipes (not like those normal diet plans). I am making this plan to suit the needs of mothers on the go. Each day I will be posting what I do and eat (and recipes for anyone who might want them). 

So if you are a mommy who is having issues with your toddler not talking, I will have results for you and if my method works, feel free to use it.
If you are a mommy (or anyone) who wants to try my 30 day plan, subscribe to get my daily recipes and advice. 

I am thinking about making a youtube account to make vlog's as well. Once I do that, I will definitely put the link up so people can follow and see how I make things and can leave comments, questions, or ideas you would like me to try to make.
